Summary:                    FATAL:  incorrect checksum in control file
Description: 
If I start the DB with the linked command: pg_ctl-84, I got the error:

 FATAL:  incorrect checksum in control file

if I use the command pg_ctl in /opt/csw/libexec/postgresql/84 all works
fine.

This sounds like the database cluster has been initialized with 64bit
binaries, and now it is tried to run it with 32bit binaries, i.e. 32bit
server.

Call

 /opt/csw/sbin/alternatives --config postgresql84-server

and select

 30 /opt/csw/bin/initdb-84 /opt/csw/libexec/postgresql/84/initdb

Does this solve the issue?
