Description: On solaris 10, I found that git clone https:.... failed. To make a long story short, I tracked down this to the failure of curl library used by git, and then this curl library seems to be failing in openssl modules. The following is more detailed explanation and my fiding: serverfault.com/questions/374053/solaris-10-opencsw-git-package-issue-with-bitbucket-git-hosting Based on some similar reports, I think it is best to offer openssl 1.0.0h or newer, and then re-compile curl libraries (making sure that openssl versions are used), and recompile git tools as well. I don't know much about OpenCSW packaging and so I can't try to recompile openssl and figure out whether upgrading helps or not. ====================================================================== ---------------------------------------------------------------------- (0010154) yann (manager) - 2012-10-02 21:38 https://www.opencsw.org/mantis/view.php?id=4931#c10154 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I am closing this bug. The detection mechanism is implemented in a autoconf file, e.g. tcl.m4 in /usr/share/aclocal. BTW, the corresponding file is missing in your package. If you take a look in the Debian package, you can see that in tcl 8.5 the detection mechanism changed and that is reflected in the tcl8.5.m4 A lot of other projects offering bindings with Tcl use this mechanism. If we wish to provide a good maintainer experience we should follow the usages of the community. This behaviour needs to be enabled within the nginx-configuration file (http://wiki.nginx.org/HttpGzipStaticModule#gzip_static). So only people using "gzip_static on" activate that module. All others should be not affected. To enable this option one need to configure the package with: ./configure --with-http_gzip_static_module Today this option is not enabled during package configuration: http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/gar/browser/csw/mgar/pkg/nginx/trunk/Makefile Could you please enable it? I assume this will reduce the load on our web servers a lot as Rails is capable to generate those gzipped files. Thx a lot. ====================================================================== From noreply at opencsw.org Fri Oct 26 11:05:19 2012 From: noreply at opencsw.org (Mantis Bug Tracker) Date: Fri, 26 Oct 2012 11:05:19 +0200 Subject: [bug-notifications] [tcl 0004652]: uncomplete packaging In-Reply-To: <5873c39787aaeb0829dbd5da530cca96> Message-ID: <850415e5d02d843e9e9246b4b4ce52ae@www.opencsw.org> A NOTE has been added to this issue. ====================================================================== https://www.opencsw.org/mantis/view.php?id=4652 ====================================================================== Reported By: pfelecan Assigned To: dam ====================================================================== Project: tcl Issue ID: 4652 Category: packaging Reproducibility: always Severity: major Priority: normal Status: feedback ====================================================================== Date Submitted: 2011-01-02 13:13 CET Last Modified: 2012-10-26 11:05 CEST ====================================================================== Summary: uncomplete packaging Description: Some projects use Tcl/Tk to provide a graphical interface, e.g., gdb.
