however, one big GAR-related (unstated)milestone stil to be met, is:

"make gar its own downloadable package".

Where the package would consist of basic, more userfriendly tools that
would look something like:

$ gar-build-from-src somesoftware

and gar would then go grab the source, download, configure, compile and
package that, on a non-opencsw.or build box, without further prompting.


The concept being, that "modular gar", would at last be TRUELY modular, and
not have a need to svn-download the whole svn tree to do something useful.
