well... its even worse than that.
pkgadd insists that the file get created.


Installing class <testclass> ...
calling installf to file /usr/lib/fakefilehere
[ verifying class <testclass> ]
ERROR: attribute verification of </usr/lib/fakefilehere> failed
    pathname does not exist

back to the drawing board...
