[csw-maintainers] When is ARCH=all not the same on all platforms?

When is ARCH=all not actually the same?

Apparently, When you build it on x86, vs sparc.

current9x$ ls -l *doc*gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 phil csw 942656 Jun 28 04:43
gimplibs_doc-2.6.8,REV=2010.06.12-SunOS5.9-all-CSW.pkg.gz


current9s$ ls -l *doc*gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 phil csw 1008932 Jun 28 04:40
gimplibs_doc-2.6.8,REV=2010.06.12-SunOS5.9-all-CSW.pkg.gz


same contents in package. really, really wierd.
oh wait... package is the same size when gunzipped.

gzip works "better" on current9x by default!???
