This is exactly what I've heard as well. I think my "fix" for RT would
do no harm to RT (which probably doesn't work anyway) and it's one
less dep to Apache 1.

Long term we should provide a complete collection of deps for RT or
maybe a VM image? We need a new RT maintainer though.
