Hi All,

I like to introduce myself to the mailing list. I have been using
Solaris since 2000 and using
hobbit monitoring tool, now called xymon (xymon.com) since 2004.

I noticed opencsw.org has the hobbit pkg 4.2 which is from 2006.
Since I heavily depend on csw (started with blastwave) I was looking
for a new hobbit pkg.

So I volunteered to try to make xymon pkg and maintain. I have built
hobbit pkg for our company but that is not easy to maintain. I used the sun
doc to build the pkg and it works fine.

However I rather join a mature community like this one and maintain
it in csw repo using the method designed to follow. It will definitely
benefit us.

Thanks for the opportunity. Lets hope I don't screw it up :-)

Sorry about the top posting. I thought it is a new email and I like to
keep the thread below to show how I entered into this community.

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
