Hi, I'm a new opencsw package maintainer. I wanted to send out a quick
email to introduce myself.

My name is Romeo Theriault. I'm a Systems/SAN administrator for the
University of Hawaii System. Prior to this I was a SA/SAN admin for
the University of Maine System. With both of these jobs I've been
working with Solaris. I've created a few custom solaris packages over
the years but am by no means a expert packager. So I have some
learning to do in this area, which I'm looking forward to. I requested
to become a opencsw package maintainer for the following piece of
software: Salt (http://saltstack.org/)

Salt is a remote execution and configuration management tool, in a
similar vein of puppet and chef. Currently their solaris support is
very weak and I'd like to help them get stronger solaris support.
First thing to do is make installing it on solaris an easy thing to
do. This is my primary motivation to become a opencsw package
maintainer.

Salt has the following package dependecies:

Python 2.6
ZeroMQ >= 2.1.9
pyzmq >= 2.1.9 - ZeroMQ Python bindings
PyCrypto - The Python cryptography toolkit
msgpack-python - High-performance message interchange format
YAML - Python YAML bindings

some of which are already maintained in opencsw, which is great. The
following don't appear to be:

zeromq
pyzmq
msgpack-python

so I'm planning to package and maintain these packages as well.

Thank you,

Romeo Theriault
