[csw-maintainers] how to avoid "Unknown option: --exec_prefix=/opt/csw"

Ok, I'd hoped this wasn't the case but hadn't looked.  As you're
building cmake, it is quite likely using cmake instead of the standard
auto* tools for the build system.  I haven't run into this but my
understanding is that it can be frustrating...I'd take a look at the
INSTALL (or equivalent) file in the source tree and see what it
recommends.
