well, I had to tweak gcc3core, to be "SunOS5.9" instead of "SunOS5.8".

seeing as how our 5.8 tree DOES NOT HAVE coreutils... it would have
broken things :-/

but it went into 5.9+ fine.  so, other than that, and gnulinks,
everything in the big batch, has been batched for release.
