Well, this is known but never had the time to solve it (teTeX is a
beast, upstream maintained in the TeXLive project which I wish to be
able to release); anyhow, is texi2pdf so advanced viz the one in teTeX?
I'll explore a new release to remove this from teTex which depends or
should depend on texinfo. Note that if I'm doing this I don't want to be
stopped by new exigences that where defined after the previous release
of the package.
