I noticed that the modules are in the /opt/csw/lib directory.  I've
looked at the build file[1], and it looks like these might be
installed there because if the --libdir flag.  Perhaps it makes sense
to move them to a subdirectory to indicate that they aren't meant to
be linked to by other programs.  In Ubuntu for example, the modules
are in a subdirectory under /usr/lib:

/usr/lib/lighttpd/mod_secdownload.so
/usr/lib/lighttpd/mod_setenv.so
/usr/lib/lighttpd/mod_simple_vhost.so
(...)

The specific option used in Ubuntu is: --libdir=/usr/lib/lighttpd

In GAR, you can say:

libdir = /usr/lib/lighttpd
