I have tried the below, but the mail still won't relay because it can't authenticate.

   You might need to create the file /opt/csw/lib/sasl2/Sendmail.conf with the contents something like:

pwcheck_method:    saslauthd
mech_list: PLAIN LOGIN
saslauthd_path: /var/opt/csw/saslauthd/mux
