I too just upgraded Gaim and am getting the same Gstreamer error.

However Gaim opens and I can close the error and Gaim seems to work.

The only problem other than the error is I cannot connect to my work's

internal Sun Messaging server. It's Jabber based. I can connect to

Gmail no problem though. <br>

Are you trying to use the MSN network? If so, IIRC the MSN plugin is kinda broken, unless you grab the latest code off cvs...
