I'm currently running everything from unstable, with the exception of
poppler. I'm running the 0.6.2,REV=2007.12.01 version of Poppler, and
haven't had any problems with Evince since rolling back to that version.<br>

I guess though your mileage could vary, but I've got 8 solaris boxes to
maintain, and on all of them Evince would constantly crash until I
installed the 0.6.2 version of poppler.<br>

The problem is with a missing lib in CSWpoppler :
libpoppler-glib.so.2 <<-- that is required
But it does not exist in poppler 0.8.0,REV=2008.04.12
