The Blastwave Ogle package now includes support for the Xvideo extension. If you are running an Xserver which includes support for the Xvideo extension you will have the benefit of hardware accelerated image scaling and color space conversion. I have tested with Xi Graphics Accelerated-X. Summit Series with great success.
