It should have been fixed and closed in 2006.

The person that introduced fftw should take over fftw2 and might have
introduced fft3 instead.

I'm confused as why fftw is called "Library for computing the discrete
Fourier transform (DFT)" yet contains no library as fftw2 does.  Presumably
the maintainer of fftw is the expert.
