$ ldd /opt/csw/bin/snd | grep libltdl
        libltdl.so.3 =>  (file not found)


yes, libtool has screwed you and no longer supplies the .3 lib.
Workaround: install CSWlibltdl3
Fix: rebuild in consistent state, probably with .7 lib
