# export GDK_PIXBUF_MODULE_FILE=loaders.cache
# gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders --update-cache

Should we add there an install action/step for that?

The postinstall of CSWgdkpixbuf should take care of that, since
gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders is stored in that package.
