This rises errors in checkpkg, e.g. when a dynamic shared object is installed in /opt/csw/prototypes it is flagged with the "binary-architecture-does-not-match-placement" tag. After having discussed the issue on the "devel" mailing list, http://lists.opencsw.org/pipermail/devel/2013-May/026324.html, I propose to modify the recipe in order to install the various component in appropriate directories. For this, you can use inspiration given by Debian's packaging, http://packages.debian.org/wheezy/i386/python-qt4/filelist ====================================================================== ---------------------------------------------------------------------- (0010411) pfelecan (developer) - 2013-06-01 10:29 https://www.opencsw.org/mantis/view.php?id=5075#c10411 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- have you explored the Debian recipe? I have narrowed this down to the fact that /var/lib is not present by default on my non-desktop installs. Opencsw is mentioned in the documentation about wget. I will give them the exact workaround if they want to add it. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi Yann, Website admin team will plan to upgrade the webserver s/w during their next meeting so it can support TLS1.2. At this time, TLS1.2 is not supported. https://getupdates.oracle.com web server does not fully support TLS 1.2 Only OpenSSL versions from branch 1.0.0 will work - Oracle Solaris does not deliver higher versions at this time. Customers who are trying to access the URL using latest wget/OpenSSL (ie. from www.opencsw.org) version with TLS 1.2 support may get connection failures. The same is documented, please refer below oracle doc.. Patch download automation for Sun products using wget [ID 1199543.1] I will close this case on 10th-june unless you need further clarification on this Thanks Murugan From noreply at opencsw.org Sat Jun 8 12:45:38 2013 From: noreply at opencsw.org (Mantis Bug Tracker) Date: Sat, 8 Jun 2013 12:45:38 +0200 Subject: [bug-notifications] [logrotate 0003369]: Depend on CSWggettextrt In-Reply-To: <0dd0b7f4f9a41ac6f5a30a00451dd2d0> Message-ID: A NOTE has been added to this issue. ====================================================================== https://www.opencsw.org/mantis/view.php?id=3369 ====================================================================== Reported By: harpchad Assigned To: ====================================================================== Project: logrotate Issue ID: 3369 Category: packaging Reproducibility: always Severity: minor Priority: normal Status: new ====================================================================== Date Submitted: 2009-02-14 03:20 CET Last Modified: 2013-06-08 12:45 CEST ====================================================================== Summary: Depend on CSWggettextrt Description: Rutime for gettext is now in CSWggettextrt, please update dependencies from CSWgettext to CSWgettextrt ====================================================================== ---------------------------------------------------------------------- (0010423) igalic (manager) - 2013-06-08 12:45 https://www.opencsw.org/mantis/view.php?id=3369#c10423 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.opencsw.org/packages/CSWlogrotate/ doesn't show any dependencies to gettext at all. I was reading the wrong file. my "patch" was for mysqld_safe, not our init file. I think we would be best to focus on patching mysqld_safe, and keeping the init file as minimal as possible. I say that, because mysqld_safe is quite complex. Usually, for maintanance purposes, its a good idea to minimise complexity whereever possible. Having large complexity in TWO areas of the chain for startup, I would suggest is counterproductive for us. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- (0008668) maciej (developer) - 2011-01-05 01:00 https://www.opencsw.org/mantis/view.php?id=4646#c8668 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The problem with patching mysqld_safe is that it changes the documented way MySQL startup works. Imagine someone trying to debug a problem that is related to these settings. They will probably read MySQL documentation[1] and examine our startup script. If we patch mysqld_safe, they will find no indication that we're changing the default behavior. They might spend a lot of time debugging, until they discover that we've modified mysqld_safe. It looks for my.cnf in /etc/opt/csw/my.cnf, then /opt/csw/my.cnf, then /var/opt/csw/mysql5/my.cnf (the content of the last two, if found, is added to the default). The only modification for the script is the one that allows picking up the binary architecture to run on Solaris according to what the system supports or what is configured. So basically, it follows what upstream recommends, and it has been working nicely for me. Unless there's some negative feedback, I'll close this ticket soon. State: maintenance since 17. Juli 2010 03:58:56 MEST Reason: Restarting too quickly. See: http://sun.com/msg/SMF-8000-L5 See: /var/svc/log/network-cswdenyhosts:default.log Impact: This service is not running I guess the reason is that the log file is not configured in /etc/opt/csw/denyhosts.cfg I think it is very sane to require any admin to think first about the correct configuration regarding the log files, but the service should not be auto-activated when it can not run from scratch. This is especially an annoyance as the service is auto-activated for all zones. So all zones will have a service in maintenance. I suggest that the service should not be auto-activated in zones or even the global zone. ====================================================================== From noreply at opencsw.org Fri Jun 21 15:51:13 2013 From: noreply at opencsw.org (Mantis Bug Tracker) Date: Fri, 21 Jun 2013 15:51:13 +0200 Subject: [bug-notifications] [denyhosts 0004491]: add various patches In-Reply-To: Message-ID: <63d0777838c50c4ad56f3c8fab452937@www.opencsw.org> The following issue requires your FEEDBACK. ====================================================================== https://www.opencsw.org/mantis/view.php?id=4491 ====================================================================== Reported By: flod Assigned To: dam ====================================================================== Project: denyhosts Issue ID: 4491 Category: regular use Reproducibility: always Severity: minor Priority: normal Status: feedback ====================================================================== Date Submitted: 2010-07-17 03:53 CEST Last Modified: 2013-06-21 15:51 CEST ====================================================================== Summary: add various patches Description: Debian (and other distributors) use various patches, as denyhosts 2.7 was never distributed.
