Summary: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket
'/tmp/mysql.sock'
Description:
cant locate where is mysql.sock
i did this steps before:
pkgutil -i CSWmysql5
96 mysql
97 find / -name mysql
98 /opt/csw/bin/mysql
99 /usr/mysql
100 pkgutil
101 mysql
102 find / -name mysql.sock
103 mysql --socket=/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock
104 mysqladmin
105 mysqladmin version
but it doesnt work.
root at nagios2:/opt# mysql
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket
'/tmp/mysql.sock' (2)
root at nagios2:/opt# mysql -V
mysql Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.5.37, for solaris10 (sparc) using readline 5.1
svcs -a | grep mysql
disabled 8:55:35 svc:/network/cswmysql5:default
svcadm enable cswmysql5
root at nagios2:/opt# svcs -a | grep mysql
maintenance 9:17:38 svc:/network/cswmysql5:default
