Hm. weeell... since freetype2 "depends on" fontconfig... if the existing
released version does not work, seems like the most
appropriate thing to do is do a quick re-compile and releaes of freetype2
against the just released fontconfig.

please update build machines with latest freetype2 asap.

Then lets get a new freetype2 released quick?

And yes i think safest to wait until these two are done, given how picky
cairo, pango, etc have been in the past.
