This error comes form something in the build inserting "--rpath"
into the ldd string.  --rpath is not a valid option for ld,
and "-rpath" is not a valid option for /usr/ccs/bin/ld
you need to look in the configuration and see where it is building the ld
string and modify the options accordingly.

If I get a few spare cycles while trying to help get the berkeley issues
cleaned up, I will look into it a bit more.
