As it stands now, these are two separate packages.  They're built from
the same source, but from different build descriptions.  They're
tracked separately in our version control.  This means that the
package Maciej is _volunteering_ his time to correct is completely
independent of the sudo_ldap package[1].

Why not accept the work that Maciej is willing to do and work towards
getting the sudo_ldap package updated as well[2] if it's that important.

It seems to me that nobody is really rushing to work on sudo_ldap, so
maybe nobody is actually using it?

[1] This doesn't have to be the way it is, but that's how our history
    has evolved it.
[2] The two should likely be merged in GAR and built with
    modulations.  We could then do away with the sudo_ldap package
    completely, while still providing a mechanism to toggle between
    the 'backends' to sudo.
