Of COURSE we are "vs" sunfreeware, et. al.
We should be(?) trying to make "the best packages for solaris out there".

"best" means "better than all others". Therefore, we are already in
competition with them.
If we are not trying to generate a better product, then what's the point?

Admins are already "forced" to choose in various ways.

They are "forced" to choose which mail program they use to process their email.
They are "forced" to choose which web server, from which "vendor" they
are going to use to run their website.

Unless a company's business, is providing "choice" to other
businesses, they will almost inevitably choose one solution for all
their packaging needs, and go with it, until such time as another
solution shows itself as better.

We should have our mission to prove ourselves as "the better
solution", in all cases.
In any cases where we are not.. let's fix it!
