What about things like CSWexim, and presumably CSWpostfix that might
move /usr/lib/sendmail out of the way as part of the postinstall.
CSWexim uses a prompt to handle this and has allows you to skip it. I
don't know about CSWpostfix and I don't use it.
This is a somewhat different case, since it's the postinstall script,
but there is still potential for 'partially installed' status here.
