The problem for me is testing. Rolling out something that compiles is
all very well and good, but if it's not tested on Sol8 then it might
be buggy, and might in fact be worse than the old Sol8 version we have
in the archive. Finding the hardware/virtualisation kit for testing
for Sol8 is hard enough now, and it's only going to get worse.
