We had the same idea :)

I did a few thing to anticipate needs. I hope i made the good choices ;) 
I have created a database to store this (that will be used by next gen 
upstream watch). It is in final stage of testing and will be released 
this week end. At least package list.

Until this point, i would call maintainers owning packages to check 
please if the packages they are in charge of are aleardy in GAR.
