I tried something different: I cd'd into the
bdb3-stub-to-bdb33-UNRELEASED directory, ran "svn up" -- it completed
without errors. I went one level up, ran "svn up" again, it worked.
Back to the 'pkg' level, svn up --ignore-externals -- it worked.

I'm wondering it it would also work for other people.
