Restricting language choice for tools that are used to bootstrap makes
sense. Relying on things that aren't available wouldn't get you very
far.
For things that already depend on CSWcommon, it should be up to the
implementer to a) choose the right tool for the job and b) choose
something they're comfortable with. There is no indication that
python isn't the right tool for this job. Perl would be equally
right, but not more so. So, in this case, Maciej's comfort level with
said tool would get more weight in the selection criteria...plus, it's
already done, and re-coding it serves no purpose.
