Are you really thinking the proposed naming is good? The original  
names are

fontsproto
glproto
inputproto
kbproto
recordproto
renderproto
videoproto
xcb-proto
xextproto
xproto

Having x11proto_fonts_devel is so much different from the original
name fontsproto that I wouldn't know what to install.
