Could you kindly clarify the reason for this policy?  Wouldn't it be 
sufficient to just tell the list software to only accept email from 
subscribers?

Adding an extra email address in my various email clients, and 
remembering to change the sender address on each email I send, may only 
make participating in opencsw more tedious than it should be.
