There seems to be a legacy link missing. This is in your mysql.so:

[4]     RUNPATH         /opt/csw/lib:/opt/csw/bdb44/lib:/opt/csw/lib/mysql
[5]     RPATH           /opt/csw/lib:/opt/csw/bdb44/lib:/opt/csw/lib/mysql

Please make
  
  ln -s /opt/csw/mysql5/lib/mysql /opt/csw/lib/mysql

in the meantime unless there is an official fix.

Maciej: Shouldn't there be a "legacy compat link" somewhere in the mysql
package?
