I disagree. Sun has used it in this way for years. almost a decade? one of the
"standard, documented(but often ignored)" ways, used it in this sort of way.
the cron, sed, or awk class I think. dont remember which.
by definition, the sun cron class is an example of, "take one file,
and use a CAS to modify another file (crontab)"

but "just run a script" is not the full design goal. the full design goal is,
"and not bug users about prompts for 'do you wish to allow this
unknown script to run?' for common , known, shared framework scripts,
while at the same time STILL prompting (if the user desires) for truly
unknown one-shot scripts"
The CAS scripts may eventually be shared by hundreds of our packages.
The site admin should be able to evaluate the safety of the script(s)
one time, and then have trust in them.
The CAS approach allows this. The regular postinstall script approach does not.
