Just to paraphrase you: "Not so fast" to declare QED... We have this
issue because the Solaris 8, and maybe 9, are old, 20th century clunkers
which does not provide up to date X11.

I agree on this. However, I must observe that the same kind of
discussions brought us to the split. Note that I'm not proposing a split.
