side comment: we don't have, but could probably use, a class action varient where conf file .CSW versions are kept in /opt/csw/etc, (or even somewhere else under /opt/csw) but copied to /etc/opt/csw. I don't task switch well, and my mind is on subversion right now(and hopefully catalog stuff tomorrow). anyone else want to step in?
