Here's a podcast episode from FLOSS Weekly (which featured us in
episode 163). I'd like to bring it to the attention of people who are
interested in community building. It's not so much about the content,
but about the form of the interview. The guest, Pieter Hintjens,
handles the conversation exceptionally well. There are so many things
he gets right: the way he talks (no noise such us uhms and hums), the
straightforward answers he gives, the overall confidence, they are all
excellent. Even the awkward questions from Randal at the end (vi vs
emacs, favorite scripting language; Randal wants to get people to say
'emacs' and 'perl'), Pieter handles in a cool manner, and doesn't fall
into any trap of a polarizing answer. This episode should be presented
as a gold standard of how to speak about community.
