IMHO there are areas (e.g. an updated samba/php pkg, requested pkg
updates in general, a build standards overhaul, or bug squashing) that
would rather deserve our time and energy.

When have we last seen a bug report on a /usr/local occurence? Dealing
with this sort of stuff seems oddly detached from reality when having a
look at the pending bugs in the bug tracker.
