In fact i'm keeping track of both gar and upstream version on one side, and on the other side a track of release date in the various catalog. 

You can see that on qa pages like this one : http://www-mockup.opencsw.org/qa/packages/python/

Output is still a bit messy in this draft ;) but release date to testing of python 2.6.2, 2.6.4, 2.6.5 and 2.6.6 are available. The date displayed is when the bot downloaded a catalog with this given version of the package. It is executed daily. 

That's why i also had to patch uWatch :)
