[csw-maintainers] The "[^]" URL decorators on mantis

Hello bugtracker admins,

Mantis currently injects a "[^]" string after each URL.  I've just
confused a user on mantis[1], because I couldn't paste in any shell
command that included a URL, without the command being corrupted by
mantis.  Can mantis be configured not to inject "[^]" after every URL?
