As a bonus, I have rebuilt gcc-3.4.6 with GAR.  This means we'll be
able to introduce alternatives to gcc-3.x as well, but the build
recipe needs more work to nicely split the installed files into
packages.

Peter F, do you by any chance have the file→pkg mapping from your
non-gar builds of gcc-3.x?
