Nothing wrong, it's just the fun of handling dependencies. I've dealt
with such things in the past too.

No, you only need to deal with organizing the rebuild of deps impacted
by it.

The website should tell you which packages depend on linpng, check their
.pc files for inclusion of libpng15 as a dependency there.

List them and check if they have -config scripts or .pc files that could
need a rebuild with 1.6.
