I seem to recall reading (although I'm not able to dig up a reference
presently) that this is correct.  If it's doable, I think it's a
better place for the overrides file.

I agree with Dago that it's not something that should hold up the
release of a package; it's a 'beauty' issue, not a technical
shortcoming.
