After release I file bugs against all dependent packages as I
always do on renames :-P

It would give the users clean "must-do" update cycles, which would
enforce name-change updates on the system. With hooks it would
also be quite easy with an upgrade hook to handle name changes,
but as half of the packaging tools doesn't support them this is
obviously not an option.
