For "normal" usage, not much. In fact, the 64-bit version will most 
likely be slower than the 32-bit (although not by a huge amount). It's 
only really useful if you have very large databases/tables, otherwise, 
the 32-bit version should be fine. The advantage of having 64-bit 
libraries included in the package is that people compiling their own 
software now have the ability to link to the 64-bit libraries if they need.
