[csw-users] /testing Xfce 4.4.1 is available

Hi all

I am pleased to announce after a long due time ... the first version of 
Xfce 4.4.1 packages.

The package layout has been modified, a lot of new packages appeared.

In order to reduce dependencies i have split several packages. A single 
package can become up to 4 new packages

application
libraries (lib* packages)
headers (devel packages)
documentation (doc packages

This version is having a few known problems :

On the packaging side, some "Incompatible" declaration are missing in 
the depend file. This is not (yet) an issue since you will have to 
remove existing xfce packages and install new ones by hand.  This will 
be fixed in the next days

On the application side, the sparc version of xfce4-panel has a major 
bug. It is segfaulting when the panels.xml config file contains a 
xfce4-menu declaration. Please be sure that this file does not contains 
a line like the following :

< item name="xfce4-menu" id="42"/ >

If it appears, but it in comment. The previous line should become

<!-- item name="xfce4-menu" id="42"/ -->

You will be able to remove it when it will be fixed. Working on this...

The file is stored in your $HOME under  
~/.config/xfce4/panel/panels.xml, and in the installation 
/opt/csw/etc/xdg/xfce4/panel/panels.xml

Please report any problems or improvement request.

goodies like system load will follow after Xfce 4.4.1 will be submitted 
to unstable in 2 weeks if no major problem is reported.
