The minimum SPARC requirements is at least a Sun Blade
100 compatible platform (with >=256MB RAM) and Sun's
OpenGL 1.5. 

But as they say, you get what you pay for... ;o>

slick 3d stuff 
will work for us mere-mortals with lower-end
(sunblade1000, expert3d 
class) sparc boxen?  ;-)
