Subject: [csw-users] xmms + esound : is anyone using?

I'm trying to run xmms on a remote machine with local display and use 
esound back to the local machine for audio.  The same happens with 
esdplay so the problem is with esd not xmms but it's xmms I want
working.

I have esd running on a my local machine:
$ esd -public -tcp -port 16001

Sound comes from the speakers but the quality is unusable.  It pops and 
skips.

Is anyone using esd?  How?


NAS works with good quality, (such that I can't tell it's remote), but 
not with (csw) xmms.  The network is not saturated.

Or if someone can think of a better way of doing remote sound with any 
music player, please say.

Hi,

Some maintenance will be done on the web site this afternoon.

The service will not be stopped but may be unavailable for a few 
minutes, thus you may experience some "connection refused" errors. I

I have released some experimental packages of FreeRADIUS 2.1.10, which includes LDAP support. I would appreciate some feedback for these packages, as I have little experience deploying FreeRADIUS.

The packages are available as part of the experimental package archive.

Hi All,

If you're running the CSWexim package, I hope you've noticed the
recent security issues with versions prior to 4.70.  I've updated to
4.72 and placed packages in experimental.  I wouldn't mind a little
testing before this goes out the door.  This release addresses _only_
the version increase.  I'll tackle other deficiencies with the package
in a later update.

Last week, a new board was elected by the OpenCSW membership.  The
results of this election saw Ihsan Dogan, Maciej Blizinski and myself
elected.  After some discussion, the board roles have been assigned as
follows:
