In about 5 minutes you'll find the updated packages for apache 2.2.21
here: http://buildfarm.opencsw.org/experimental.html#apache2

I'll push them to our unstable repository tomorrow after I've tested

Have you tried running this command?

You are right: it works now: to the phpmyadmin/config I change the 
owner: I use  the user/group wich runs httpd (and rw for other).

I've built MySQL-5.1, and got it to work: it installs, initializes and
runs.  You can get it from:

If you plan to use MySQL-5.1 in the future, please consider testing
the above packages.  Catching issues early saves everyone's time.
Don't run packages from the experimental catalog on a production
system, but please

pkgutil -t http://buildfarm.opencsw.org/opencsw/experimental/mysql-5.1\
 -y -i mysql51

If you plan to compile software against MySQL, download the mysql_dev package.

There's one large change from the previously packaged MySQL - the new
MySQL packages are built into the /opt/csw prefix, so the binaries are
in /opt/csw/bin.  The same goes for linking: libraries are now in
/opt/csw/lib, and the header files in /opt/csw/include.

If I don't receive reports about any issues, I will upload the
experimental packages into the unstable catalog, and after another two
weeks into the dublin catalog.

hello all,
i've already reported the problem but i need help to understand the 
dependancies:
my workaround is to delete /opt/csw/lib/sparcv8/libxml2.so.2 which is a 
link on /opt/csw/lib/sparcv8/libxml2.so.2.7.8.
Deleting the file permits evince to use /usr/lib/libxml2.so.2, so it 
seems that the problem is in libxml2 in opencsw, but i don't find the 
pachage that delivers the related file.
Anybody can help?

Currently, I'm using CSW packages on sparc a few hosts. Usually, I prefer using prebuild
packages, but sometimes software in CSW catalog is outdated or miss some features.
For such  cases I've set up a build host where I can build packages from GAR. Now, I have
some questions.

What catalog contain packages for regular use? Packages in stable are very old, mostly.
Software in testing and unstable looks newer, but how stable it is? For example,
subversion related packages  mixes two version 1.6.16 and 1.6.15, which looks strange
for me.

While building packages with GAR, I sometime face bug in GAR or package. Usually,
I'm fixing them by myself, because it is usually faster. I don't want to become a maintainer,
because I can't spent time on CSW regularly, but I can send bug reports/patches from
time to time. Is there a need in such contributions. What is the preferred way to
send patches, bug reports. There is GAR trac at SF, Mantis at OpenCSW and several
mailing lists. What should I use?

This should not the case. In what catalog have you seen this?

We are currently transitioning to named releases as described here:

So, mid-term it would be best to subscribe to "dublin" in your case.

Yes, definitely. Even if you can't spent time regularly it may be beneficial if we would just enable
an account for your to do the fixes. We are always trying to give experienced users direct
access to the maintainers for feedback, so, be invited!

As you want to contribute to GAR Makefile and GAR itself I guess it would be the SF Trac for GAR.
Additionally, you can always directly submit issues via IRC (Freenode #opencsw) or issue bugs
for specific packages on Mantis. Or, of course, here on the users list.
