This is true and still matches their recommendations, but in the past
it was possible to run php with the worker mpm and it didn't cause
problems (usually) unless one of the modules wasn't thread safe.  My
understanding is that _core_ php is supposed to be thread safe but the
modules don't carry that guarantee.  (This may be an out of date
understanding though.)
